Lieutenant General Girish Kalia, General Officer Commanding of the Spear Corps, visited formations of the Assam Rifles in Dimapur, Nagaland, and conducted a comprehensive review of the internal security situation and operational preparedness in the region.
During the visit, Lt Gen Kalia was briefed on the prevailing security environment, operational deployments and measures being undertaken to maintain a high level of readiness across the formations.
The Corps Commander reviewed operational capabilities, security mechanisms and preparedness measures aimed at ensuring peace and stability in the region. He also interacted with officers and troops deployed in the area.
Commending the formations for maintaining high standards of professionalism and operational excellence, Lt Gen Kalia lauded all ranks for their steadfast dedication, discipline and commitment to duty. He appreciated the troops for sustaining a high level of combat readiness while operating in a dynamic security environment.

The General Officer also praised the personnel for their high morale and unwavering resolve in safeguarding national security and contributing to peace and stability in the Northeast.
Officials stated that the visit reaffirmed the Indian Army’s focus on maintaining robust operational preparedness and close coordination with Assam Rifles formations to effectively address emerging security challenges in the region.
Lt Gen Kalia urged all ranks to continue upholding the highest standards of vigilance, professionalism and mission readiness while remaining prepared to respond to any contingency in the service of the nation.
