The JAT Regimental Centre plays an important role in shaping young recruits into disciplined and capable soldiers. With the induction of Agniveers under the Agnipath scheme, training establishments across the Indian Army have been continuously updating their methods to match the changing nature of military operations.

During the visit, Lt Gen Anindya Sengupta was briefed on the use of modern training infrastructure and technology-driven learning tools. The use of drone-enabled learning reflects the Army’s effort to familiarise trainees with emerging technologies and battlefield realities.

Such training methods help soldiers develop better situational awareness, tactical understanding and adaptability in complex operational environments.

The visit highlighted the Indian Army’s focus on adapting training methodologies to meet the demands of the evolving battlefield. Modern warfare increasingly involves the use of drones, surveillance systems, precision weapons, electronic warfare and rapid decision-making at the tactical level.

By integrating new generation equipment and technology-based learning into training, the JAT Regimental Centre is helping prepare soldiers for future operational challenges.
