Major General Sarabjit Singh Bakshi, SM, VSM, has assumed command of the NCC Officers Training Academy Kamptee, succeeding Major General Upkar Chander.
The change of command marks a significant leadership transition at one of the premier institutions responsible for training officers associated with the National Cadet Corps.

On assuming command, Maj Gen Bakshi expressed his commitment to carrying forward the academy’s rich legacy of excellence and professionalism. He emphasized his resolve to further strengthen the institution’s role in shaping future leaders and contributing to nation-building through quality training and leadership development.
The NCC Officers Training Academy, Kamptee, plays a crucial role in preparing officers to lead and mentor NCC cadets, fostering values of discipline, leadership, patriotism and national service among the youth.
Maj Gen Bakshi’s appointment comes at a time when the NCC continues to expand its role in youth development, character building and nation-building initiatives across the country.

The outgoing Commandant, Maj Gen Upkar Chander, was acknowledged for his leadership and contributions towards maintaining the academy’s high standards of training and institutional excellence during his tenure.
With the new leadership in place, the academy is expected to continue its mission of developing capable and motivated leaders while upholding the proud traditions and values that have defined the institution over the years.
