The Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of the Assam Rifles met Inspector General (IG) of Border Security Force (BSF), at the BSF Frontier Headquarters on 11 June 2026 to discuss security challenges and strengthen coordination along the border in Tripura.
During the interaction, the two senior officers reviewed the prevailing security dynamics in the state and deliberated on measures to further enhance border management, surveillance and operational coordination between the two forces.

The discussions focused on strengthening cooperation in addressing emerging security challenges, improving information sharing and ensuring effective coordination in maintaining peace and stability in the region.
Both sides emphasized the importance of seamless collaboration between security agencies in safeguarding national interests and maintaining a robust security environment along the international border.

The meeting reaffirmed the commitment of the Assam Rifles and BSF towards enhanced inter-agency synergy and closer operational cooperation.
