Lieutenant General Anindya Sengupta, General Officer Commanding-in-Chief (GOC-in-C), Surya Command, visited the Victory For Certain Brigade to review its operational readiness, combat preparedness and overall capability development.
During the visit, the Army Commander was briefed on the Brigade’s operational capabilities, training standards and preparedness measures aimed at ensuring a high level of readiness to meet evolving security challenges.

Lt Gen Sengupta reviewed various aspects of the formation’s operational preparedness and assessed ongoing efforts to enhance combat effectiveness through realistic training and capability enhancement initiatives.
A key highlight of the visit was the demonstration of innovative, technology-driven initiatives being implemented by the Brigade to strengthen battlefield effectiveness and maintain a decisive operational edge. These initiatives showcased the formation’s focus on leveraging modern technologies and innovative practices to improve mission readiness and operational performance.

Interacting with officers, Junior Commissioned Officers and troops, the Army Commander commended all ranks for their professionalism, dedication and mission-oriented approach. He praised their unwavering resolve and commitment to maintaining the highest standards of operational excellence.
Emphasising the importance of continuous training, adaptability and technological integration, Lt Gen Sengupta encouraged personnel to remain prepared for future challenges and evolving battlefield requirements.
The visit reaffirmed Surya Command’s focus on enhancing operational readiness through a combination of rigorous training, technological innovation and combat preparedness, ensuring that formations remain capable of responding effectively to any operational contingency.
The Army Commander also lauded the Brigade’s efforts in embracing modern warfare concepts while upholding the Indian Army’s traditions of professionalism, discipline and service to the nation.
