The historic Salaria Stadium at 14 Gorkha Training Centre (GTC), Subathu, resonated with pride, discipline and martial tradition as 424 Agniveers of the 8th Batch were formally attested into the Indian Army.
The Attestation Parade marked the successful culmination of rigorous military training and the transformation of young recruits into disciplined soldiers ready to serve the nation with honour, courage and dedication.

The parade showcased exceptional standards of drill, military bearing and precision, reflecting the high-quality training imparted at one of the Indian Army’s premier infantry training establishments. The Agniveers demonstrated professionalism, confidence and commitment as they took the solemn oath of service and joined the ranks of the Indian Army.
A significant number of the newly attested soldiers will be inducted into 11 Battalions of the 1st and 4th Gorkha Rifles, strengthening the operational capabilities of these distinguished regiments renowned for their valour, loyalty and battlefield excellence.

The ceremony symbolised the continuation of the proud legacy of the Gorkha soldiers, whose contributions to the Indian Army have earned widespread respect and admiration over generations. The newly inducted Agniveers now become part of this rich tradition of military service and sacrifice.
