Air Commodore Vinay Pratap Singh, VM, of the Flying (Pilot) branch of the Indian Air Force, assumed charge as the Secretary, Kendriya Sainik Board (KSB) on 1 July 2026.
On taking over the prestigious appointment, Air Commodore Singh reaffirmed his commitment to advancing the welfare and well-being of India’s ex-servicemen, veterans, Veer Naris and their dependents. He expressed his resolve to work tirelessly for those who have served the nation with pride, dedication and valour.
The Kendriya Sainik Board functions under the Department of Ex-Servicemen Welfare, Ministry of Defence, and plays a pivotal role in formulating and implementing policies for the rehabilitation, resettlement and welfare of ex-servicemen and their families across the country.
Air Commodore Vinay Pratap Singh’s appointment is expected to further strengthen the Board’s efforts in enhancing welfare initiatives and ensuring continued support for the armed forces community, while upholding the nation’s enduring commitment to those who have served in uniform.
