Chief of the Army Staff General Dhiraj Seth, PVSM, UYSM, AVSM, called on Defence Minister Rajnath Singh at Kartavya Bhavan-2 in New Delhi.
The meeting marked General Seth’s formal interaction with the Defence Minister after assuming charge as the 31st Chief of the Army Staff. The two leaders discussed matters concerning the Indian Army and issues related to national security and defence preparedness.
General Seth, who took over as the Army Chief on 30 June 2026, brings with him nearly four decades of distinguished military service and extensive operational, command and strategic experience.
The courtesy meeting reflects the close coordination between the Indian Army leadership and the Ministry of Defence in advancing India’s defence preparedness and national security objectives.
