Lieutenant General Anindya Sengupta, General Officer Commanding-in-Chief (GOC-in-C), Central Command, visited the Central Ordnance Depot (COD) at Agra, where he reviewed its operational functioning, logistics infrastructure and ongoing modernisation initiatives aimed at strengthening support to Indian Army field formations.
The visit highlighted the critical role played by an efficient and responsive logistics network in maintaining the operational readiness of the Army. Lt Gen Sengupta assessed various measures being undertaken at the depot to modernise logistics management, integrate technology and improve the efficiency with which essential stores and equipment are managed and supplied.
During the visit, the Army Commander was briefed on contemporary inventory management practices being followed at the Central Ordnance Depot.
