The Junior Leader Provost Course conducted at the Corps of Military Police Centre and School, Bengaluru, culminated on August 28, 2026, marking the successful completion of specialised training for personnel of the Corps of Military Police and participants from Sri Lanka.
The course was designed to enhance the professional knowledge, leadership abilities and operational competence of personnel entrusted with provost and military policing responsibilities.
Personnel from the Corps of Military Police participated in the course alongside three students from Sri Lanka, reflecting the Indian Army’s continued engagement with friendly foreign countries through professional military training and capacity-building initiatives.
The successful completion of the course provided the participants with an opportunity to strengthen their understanding of military policing responsibilities while developing the leadership qualities required to effectively discharge duties in challenging operational and administrative environments.
The participation of Sri Lankan personnel also contributed to greater professional interaction and exchange of experiences between the armed forces of India and Sri Lanka. Such training engagements help promote mutual understanding, professional camaraderie and closer defence ties between partner countries.
Col Gautam Verma, Officiating Commandant, Corps of Military Police Centre and School, delivered the closing address at the culmination ceremony. He felicitated the successful course participants and acknowledged their efforts and commitment throughout the training.
