A dignified pipping ceremony was held at the Border Security Force (BSF) Force Headquarters in New Delhi to mark the promotion of Shri Narendra Singh from the rank of Commandant to Deputy Inspector General (DIG).
During the ceremony, DG BSF Shri Praveen Kumar, IPS, adorned the new rank insignia on Shri Narendra Singh, formally marking his elevation to the rank of Deputy Inspector General in the Force.
The ceremony was attended by members of Shri Narendra Singh’s family and senior BSF officers, making the occasion a significant personal and professional milestone in his career. The presence of his family added to the significance of the ceremony and recognised the support and contribution of families behind the service of personnel in the Force.

Shri Narendra Singh has rendered dedicated service in the BSF and his promotion reflects the recognition of his professional contribution, leadership and commitment to the responsibilities entrusted to him during his career.
Congratulating the newly promoted officer, DG BSF Shri Praveen Kumar conveyed his heartfelt best wishes to Shri Narendra Singh for a successful and fulfilling tenure in his new appointment. He also wished him continued professional excellence in the responsibilities ahead.
