Handique Girls’ College, 60 Assam Girls Battalion NCC under Group Headquarters Guwahati, in collaboration with Gauhati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), organised a blood donation camp on September 10, 2026.
The initiative, held under the spirit of “A Drop of Blood, A Gift of Life,” witnessed enthusiastic participation from a large number of donors. Battalion staff, students and NCC cadets from several colleges came forward to voluntarily donate blood and contribute to the humanitarian cause.
The blood donation camp highlighted the importance of voluntary blood donation and encouraged young people to actively participate in initiatives that can help save lives.
The programme also reflected the values of social responsibility, humanitarian service and community engagement promoted among NCC cadets.
Through their participation, the cadets demonstrated the spirit of service beyond regular NCC training, contributing directly to the welfare of the community.
The initiative upheld the NCC motto of “Unity and Discipline” while reinforcing the organisation’s commitment to developing responsible and socially conscious citizens.
