Lt Gen Rajesh Pushkar, AVSM, VSM, Army Commander, Southern Command, visited Niwaru Military Station to review training infrastructure and initiatives focused on strengthening technological proficiency and combat preparedness among troops.
During the visit, the Army Commander reviewed various training nodes established to enhance soldiers’ operational skills and familiarise them with emerging technologies relevant to modern warfare. The initiatives are aimed at ensuring that personnel remain mission-ready while adapting to the rapidly evolving technological character of military operations.
Lt Gen Rajesh Pushkar appreciated the formation for its emphasis on innovation, adaptability and technology-driven training. He highlighted the importance of continuously upgrading professional skills and effectively harnessing technology to meet emerging operational requirements.
The Army Commander also reviewed welfare measures undertaken for troops at the military station and appreciated the efforts being made to improve their well-being and working environment.
Interacting with personnel, Lt Gen Pushkar exhorted all ranks to maintain the highest standards of professionalism, operational preparedness and commitment to duty. He stressed the need to remain prepared for evolving operational challenges while continuing to strengthen combat effectiveness through technology and realistic training.
