The Young Officers Course conducted at the Army Service Corps (ASC) Centre & College, Bengaluru, concluded on September 23, 2026, with Capt Gaurav Singh Rana being adjudged the Best Student of the course.
The intensive training programme brought together officers of the Indian Army along with five officers from Friendly Foreign Countries, including Sri Lanka and Nepal. The course focused on military tactics across Arms and Services, niche technologies and logistics support for operations across diverse terrains and multiple domains.
The training was aimed at equipping young officers with professional knowledge and practical understanding required to support military operations in varied operational environments. The course covered aspects of tactics and logistics while also exposing participants to emerging technologies relevant to contemporary military operations.
Logistics constitutes a critical component of military effectiveness, enabling formations to sustain personnel, equipment and other operational requirements across challenging environments. The valedictory ceremony marked the formal conclusion of the course. Major General Mohit Mahendroo, Deputy Commandant and Chief Instructor, ASC Centre & College, delivered the Valedictory Address and felicitated the achievers.
