Lt Gen Rajesh Pushkar, AVSM, VSM, Army Commander, Southern Command, visited Nagpur Military Station to review operational readiness, logistics preparedness, training, infrastructure development and future-ready capability enhancement.
During the visit, Lt Gen Rajesh Pushkar reviewed various aspects related to the operational preparedness of the military station. The engagement covered logistics preparedness, training, infrastructure development and efforts towards enhancing future-ready capabilities.
At Headquarters Uttar Maharashtra & Gujarat Sub Area, the Army Commander was briefed on aspects of operational effectiveness, station administration and organisational initiatives. The briefing provided an overview of the functioning of the formation and the initiatives being undertaken in the area.

Lt Gen Rajesh Pushkar also interacted with all ranks during his visit. He commended the personnel for their exemplary work and appreciated their efforts in carrying out their responsibilities.
The Army Commander exhorted all ranks to sustain the highest standards of professionalism and operational effectiveness. His interaction with personnel focused on maintaining the standards required for operational preparedness and effective functioning.
The visit also included an engagement with BrahMos Aerospace Private Limited in Nagpur. The interaction highlighted the role of industry in advancing Atmanirbharta in Defence and strengthening indigenous defence manufacturing.

The engagement with BrahMos Aerospace also underlined the contribution of the defence industry towards enhancing operational readiness. The interaction provided an opportunity to highlight the importance of indigenous defence manufacturing in supporting the operational requirements of the Armed Forces.
