Her Asian Games victory represents another achievement for the ITBP, which has personnel participating in competitive sports at national and international levels. The force has congratulated Hooda for bringing laurels to the nation and the organisation.
Hooda’s sporting record includes gold medals at the South Asian Games, Asian Championships and World Boxing Cup, a bronze medal at the World Championships and now a gold medal at the Asian Games.
Her progression across different international competitions has also involved participation in multiple weight categories, with her medals coming in the 60kg, 63kg and 65kg categories.
