Air Marshal Sandeep Thareja, Director General Armed Forces Medical Services (DGAFMS), visited Base Hospital, Delhi Cantt, on 9 October 2026 to review its clinical services, patient care outcomes, administrative efficiency, operational challenges and future development plans.
During the visit, the DGAFMS assessed key aspects of the hospital’s functioning, with a focus on clinical services and the delivery of patient care. The review also covered administrative efficiency and operational challenges, providing an opportunity to examine the hospital’s existing requirements and future development priorities.

Patient care outcomes and the effectiveness of clinical services formed important elements of the review. The assessment highlighted the significance of maintaining quality healthcare services while ensuring that administrative processes and institutional capabilities support the hospital’s medical responsibilities.
Air Marshal Thareja also visited the Capt Devashish Sharma, KC, OPD Complex and the new Key Location Plan (KLP) infrastructure. These facilities mark developments in the hospital’s modernisation and capacity enhancement efforts, reflecting the ongoing focus on strengthening medical infrastructure.

The visit to the OPD Complex and the new KLP infrastructure provided an opportunity to review developments aimed at enhancing the hospital’s facilities. Modernisation and infrastructure development remain important components of efforts to improve institutional capacity and support the delivery of healthcare services to personnel.
