New Delhi, November 2, 2026: Senior Commandant Jay Prakash Azad of the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) has been promoted to the rank of Deputy Inspector General (DIG), marking a significant milestone in his distinguished service career.
A pipping ceremony was organised to formally mark his promotion, during which the new rank insignia were placed on the officer’s uniform.
The Director General of CISF congratulated Shri Jay Prakash Azad on his promotion and commended his exemplary leadership, dedication and steadfast commitment to the organisation.
The DG also extended best wishes to the newly promoted Deputy Inspector General for continued success and effective leadership in his new responsibilities.
As Deputy Inspector General, Jay Prakash Azad will take on greater leadership and administrative responsibilities, contributing to the CISF’s mission of safeguarding critical infrastructure and strengthening national security.
The CISF, one of India’s Central Armed Police Forces under the Ministry of Home Affairs, is responsible for providing security to airports, industrial installations, government establishments and other vital infrastructure across the country.
