CDS 1 2018 Notification Out Now [APPLY]

UPSC has published the official notification of CDS 1 2018 examination. Candidates who are looking to join Indian Army, Navy and Airforce as an officer can apply for this exam. CDS is a written exam which is conducted by UPSC twice every year, once you clear this exam, you will get the call letter for SSB interview. We have posted important details related to CDS 1 2018 exam like Age Limit, Application, Education Qualification, Vacancies etc. Candidates are required to apply online by using the website www.upsconline.nic.in brief instructions for filling up the online Application is given in the official notification linked below.

CDS 1 2018 Course and Vacancies

Indian Military Academy, Dehradun— 146th (DE) Course commencing in January, 2019 [including 13 vacancies reserved for NCC `C’ Certificate (Army Wing) holders] – 100
Indian Naval Academy, Ezhimala—Course commencing in January, 2019 Executive (General Service) [including 06 vacancies reserved for NCC ‘C’ Certificate holders (Naval Wing)] – 45
Air Force Academy, Hyderabad—(Pre-Flying) Training Course commencing in February, 2019 i.e. No. 205 F(P) Course – 32
Officers’ Training Academy, Chennai (Madras)— 109th SSC (Men) Course (NT) commencing in April, 2019. (including 50 vacancies for NCC ‘C’ certificate holders for NCC Spl. Entry) – 225
Officers Training Academy, Chennai—23rd SSC Women (Non-Technical) Course commencing in April, 2019 – 12

CDS 1 2018 Educational Qualifications :

For I.M.A. and Officers’ Training Academy— Degree of a recognised University or equivalent.
For Indian Naval Academy—Degree in Engineering from a recognised University/Institution.
For Air Force Academy—Degree of a recognised University (with Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level) or Bachelor of Engineering.
Graduates with first choice as Army/Navy/Air Force are to submit proof of graduation provisional certificates on the date of commencement of the SSB Interview at the SSB.

CDS 1 2018 Backlog Condition

Candidates who are studying in the final year/semester Degree course and have yet to pass the final year degree examination can also apply provided candidate should not have any present backlog upto the last semester / year for which results have been declared upto the time of submission of application.

CDS 1 2018 Fee

Candidates (excepting Female/SC/ST candidates who are exempted from payment of fee) are required to pay a fee of Rs. 200/- (Rupees Two Hundred Only) either by depositing the money in any Branch of SBI by cash, or by using net banking facility of SBI, State Bank of Bikaner & Jaipur/State Bank of Hyderabad/State Bank of Mysore/State Bank of Patiala/State Bank of Travancore or by using Visa/Master Credit/Debit Card.

CDS 1 2018 Age Limits

For IMA—Unmarried male candidates born not earlier than 2nd January, 1995 and not later than 1st January, 2000 only are eligible.
For Indian Naval Academy—Unmarried male candidates born not earlier than 2nd January, 1995 and not later than 1st January, 2000 only are eligible.
For Air Force Academy— 20 to 24 years as on 1st January, 2019 i.e. born not earlier than 2nd January, 1995 and not later than 1st January, 1999 (Upper age limit for candidates holding valid and current Commercial Pilot Licence issued by DGCA (India) is relaxable upto 26 yrs. i.e. born not earlier than 2nd January, 1993 and not later than 1st January, 1999) only are eligible
