With the world going online for most of the work, our forces are not lagging behind in this technology. Since a long time each service maintains a standard career website and IAF is no different. The career website of IAF www.careerairforce.nic.inhas been catering to the needs of aspirants since a past few years. Recently IAF decided to change the look and feel of this website, so just before the opening up of application for AFCAT 2/2014 they revised the website entirely. Now the new website is more user friendly, colorful and bright.
As soon as you open the website you will come across the logo of IAF, beneath which the pictures from different spheres of IAF keep appearing with rotation. Below the picture are the small tabs which provide you the link to various things like about us, career in IAF etc. As you look below you’ll find a what’s new section, which is like the noticeboard which publishes the recent news related to career in IAF, like the notifications, merit lists etc. Also now you can directly find your career according to the branch you want to get in and according to your qualification. So unlike the old website you can now find your career in IAF from the homepage itself.
Also there is a section of IAF gallery on the homepage from where you can see the pictures. You can play the game also, for which a tab is given as well on the home page. This game is something new and its exciting and fun. Also you’ll find the candidate log in section beneath the game tab when the applications are being received for AFCAT. This new version of the website is colored in all blue background, which gives you a feel of IAF as soon as you open it.
From this new version you can get a lot of information about training as there is information available about the various training institutions of IAF. All in all this modernization of the website is a positive effort by IAF. This makes the website fresh and appealing and also easy to browse. Candidates will definitely appreciate this change and welcome it.
