177654 Girls Applied To Join The First Female Batch Of The National Defence Academy

There was no restriction on the number of female applicants who could apply for 2021 National Defence Academy Examination.

NDA (II) – 2021. Total Number of applications received – 5,75,856. Total number of applications received from female candidates – 1,77,654. Necessary infrastructure and facilities for the training of female candidates are in place. There are total 19 seats are reserved for the female candidates who would join the first female batch at the National Defence Academy.

Medical standards have been notified in the UPSC notification. Physical standards will be finalized before commencement of training. There was no restriction on the number of female applicants who could apply for 2021 National Defence Academy Examination.

This information was given by Raksha Rajya Mantri Shri Ajay Bhatt in a written reply to Dr Amar Patnaik in Rajya Sabha today.
