A soldier from Siwan district in Bihar, serving under the Agniveer scheme, tragically lost his life due to bullet injuries under enigmatic circumstances at his posting in the Akhnoor area of Jammu and Kashmir.
The soldier, identified as Pradeep Kumar Yadav, hailed from Don village in Darauli, Siwan district.
He was found critically wounded by his battalion soldiers in the early hours of December 13, and despite immediate medical attention, was declared deceased at the hospital.
Earlier on the day of the incident, Yadav had conversed with his family, making the news of his demise later that night even more shocking. His elder brother recalled their last conversation, mentioning how the family was struggling to cope with the unexpected loss.
The army has initiated a thorough investigation into the circumstances surrounding Yadav’s untimely and mysterious death.
