In a commendable initiative to honor and provide essential medical services to military veterans, the BlackChargerBrigade, in collaboration with AIIMS Bathinda and Mata Sahib Kaur College, hosted a cancer screening and medical camp at Talwandi Sabo.
This event, celebrated under the banner Grateful For Your Service, aimed to acknowledge the invaluable contributions of soldiers to the nation.
The camp witnessed a remarkable turnout, with 430 veterans participating, including three Veer Naris and one Veer Mata, highlighting the community’s respect and recognition for the sacrifices made by military families. The event was not only a medical camp but also a platform for raising awareness on various health issues.
Representatives from different organizations, including Directorate of Indian Army Veterans Bathinda, the Defence Pension Disbursing Office, and Ms. Ramandeep Kaur from the Sainik Welfare Office Bathinda, delivered insightful talks.
These discussions aimed to educate the veterans on health-related topics and provide them with an opportunity to voice their concerns, with a total of 86 veterans registering their grievances during the event.
This initiative represents a significant step towards ensuring the well-being of those who have served the nation, by not only addressing their health needs but also by acknowledging their service and sacrifices.
The collaboration between various organizations for this cause underscores the community’s collective effort to give back to its veterans, embodying the spirit of gratitude and respect for their service to the nation.
