In a significant military leadership transition, Lt Gen Hitesh Bhalla has taken command of the esteemed Fire & Fury Corps, replacing Lt Gen Rashim Bali.
The change of command ceremony was held at the corps headquarters in Leh, Ladakh, where Lt Gen Bhalla paid his respects to the fallen heroes at the War Memorial.
During his inaugural address, Lt Gen Bhalla called on all ranks of the Fire & Fury Corps to continue their relentless pursuit of operational effectiveness, emphasizing the importance of maintaining the storied traditions and ethos of the Indian Army.
The Fire & Fury Corps, a critical corps-sized formation of the Indian Army, plays a vital role in the defense of the Ladakh region along the sensitive India-China border.
With its headquarters strategically located in Leh, the corps is at the forefront of securing India’s interests along the Line of Actual Control with China, a region marked by challenging terrain and climatic conditions.
