Navy Day, observed on December 4, serves as a poignant reminder of Operation Trident—a bold naval offensive launched during the 1971 Indo-Pakistani War targeting the strategic port city of Karachi. This annual celebration honors not only the operation’s success but also the bravery and dedication of the Indian Navy’s personnel.
The operational demonstration represented a comprehensive exhibition of the Navy’s multifaceted capabilities, encompassing various elements such as ships, submarines, aircraft, marine commandos, and supporting personnel from the Indian Army.
