2 Women Army Officers Represent India at Asia-Pacific Regional Meeting

Two Women Armament Training Instructors from the Indian Army’s Military College of Material Management (CMM), Jabalpur, represented India at the Informal Regional Meeting on the Global Framework for Through Life-Conventional Ammunition Management held in Kathmandu, Nepal, from December 4-5, 2024. Their participation underscored India’s commitment to the sustainable and secure management of conventional ammunition.

Focus Areas of the Meeting

The Asia-Pacific regional meeting brought together experts to discuss critical aspects of conventional ammunition management, including:

  1. Implementation of the Global Framework: Exploring strategies to integrate the global framework into regional and national practices for ammunition management.
  2. Sustainability Through Life Management: Deliberations on ensuring the sustainability of ammunition throughout its lifecycle, from production to disposal.
  3. Safety and Security: Highlighting measures to enhance safety protocols and ensure the security of conventional ammunition stockpiles.
