Meet Lieutenant Pratham Singh, 3rd Generation Officer in Indian Army

In a momentous event at the Indian Military Academy (IMA), Lieutenant Pratham Singh from the 9 Gorkha Rifles has carved out a rare accomplishment by standing first in the Order of Merit at three premier military institutions—the IMA, the National Defence Academy (NDA), and the Rashtriya Indian Military College (RIMC).

Commanding the Passing Out Parade of the 155th course as Academy Under Officer, Lieutenant Singh brought immense pride to his family and the nation alike.

Family of Patriots

His mother, Colonel Anuvandana Jaggi of the Corps of Signals, stands proud of her son’s outstanding achievements, which reflect the family’s deep-seated tradition of service. Lieutenant Singh’s lineage of valor extends back to his grandfather, Colonel Tirth Singh, a war hero decorated with the Vir Chakra for his gallantry in the 1971 Indo-Pak War. Meanwhile, his father, Colonel B.S. Negi, also serves the nation with unwavering dedication.
