In a proud moment for the Jammu, Kashmir, and Ladakh Directorate of the National Cadet Corps (NCC), Cadet Ekta Bhagat has been selected as the Parade Commander for the Girls’ Contingent at the upcoming Republic Day Camp (RDC) 2025 at Kartavya Path, New Delhi. This announcement was made by PRO Defence Jammu, highlighting Bhagat’s dedication, discipline, and exemplary leadership which embodies the true spirit of the NCC.

Kartavya Path, formerly known as Rajpath, is a significant location where India’s Republic Day Parade is annually held, symbolizing the nation’s journey from colonial rule to a sovereign democratic republic.

The selection of Cadet Ekta Bhagat to lead the contingent during this prestigious event not only marks a personal achievement but also underscores the progress and empowerment of women in military training and national ceremonies.

Ekta Bhagat’s role comes at a time when the NCC is expanding its reach, aiming to increase its cadet strength to 20 lakhs across the country. Her selection is part of a broader initiative to foster unity, discipline, and leadership among the youth of Jammu, Kashmir, and Ladakh, regions where four new NCC units were recently inaugurated to empower the local youth.

The announcement was met with widespread appreciation, with many expressing their support and best wishes for Cadet Bhagat as she prepares to lead her contingent with distinction during the Republic Day celebrations.

This event not only highlights individual achievements but also showcases the collective spirit and commitment of the NCC towards nation-building and youth empowerment.
