Blue Cloud Softech Appoints Former Defence Intelligence Chief to Boost Cybersecurity and National Security Strategy

Lt Gen Anil Bhalla (Retd) joins Hyderabad-based IT firm’s advisory board; stock delivers 119% returns from 52-week low.

Blue Cloud Softech Solutions Ltd (BCSSL), a leading Hyderabad-based global technology company, has appointed Lieutenant General Anil Bhalla (Retd), PVSM, AVSM, VSM, to its Advisory Board to strengthen its defence and cybersecurity strategy. The appointment marks a significant move by BCSSL as it looks to deepen its expertise in national security innovation and enterprise transformation.

Lt Gen Bhalla, who brings 39 years of distinguished service in the Indian Army, previously served as Director General of the Defence Intelligence Agency and Deputy Chief of Integrated Defence Staff (Intelligence). His extensive experience includes advising the Raksha Mantri and National Security Advisor on key strategic and intelligence matters. During his tenure, he played a pivotal role in shaping India’s defence policies, managing multi-billion-dollar resources, and fostering defence cooperation across more than 20 countries.

In his role as a strategic advisor at BCSSL, Lt Gen Bhalla will focus on guiding the company’s initiatives in secure communications, defence innovation, cybersecurity frameworks, blockchain integration, and strategic risk analysis. He will also mentor senior leadership and innovation teams, helping align BCSSL’s technology development with national and international defence priorities.

The appointment comes amid strong financial performance by BCSSL. The company reported net sales of ₹183.62 crore in Q4 FY25 and a 52% rise in net profit to ₹13.04 crore compared to the same quarter last year. For the full financial year, net sales surged by 59% to ₹796.86 crore and net profit rose by 175% to ₹44.27 crore. The company’s shares, which underwent a 2:1 stock split in January 2025, have delivered multibagger returns of 119% from their 52-week low of ₹14.95, giving it a market capitalization of ₹1,427 crore.

BCSSL operates in eight countries including India, the UK, USA, UAE, Israel, France, Singapore and Tanzania, offering AIoT-based solutions in defence, healthcare, national infrastructure and digital transformation. The inclusion of Lt Gen Bhalla is expected to significantly enhance the company’s strategic capabilities in the rapidly evolving cybersecurity and defence-tech landscape.
