The Officers Training Academy (OTA), Chennai, will host the Passing Out Parade (POP) for the Summer Term 2025 on September 6, marking the commissioning of officer cadets into the Indian Army.
The parade will showcase cadets who have completed 49 weeks of intensive training for Short Service Commission, excluding the Army Medical Corps. Their training emphasized physical fitness, tactical drills, military ceremonies, and sports, instilling values of discipline, resilience, and leadership.
Established in 1963, OTA Chennai has trained thousands of officers, including the pioneering batch of women officers in 1992, and continues to play a vital role in preparing future leaders of the Army.
The ceremony will be broadcast live on DD National and DD Tamil at 5:30 AM, offering viewers a glimpse of the cadetsโ transformation into commissioned officers and their readiness to serve the nation.
