The All India Vayu Sainik Camp (AIVSC) 2025 was inaugurated today at Air Force Station Jalahalli, Bengaluru, by Air Vice Marshal Bijo John Mammen, Senior Officer-in-Charge Administration, Headquarters Training Command, Indian Air Force. The camp, running from September 18 to 29, marks a major milestone in the National Cadet Corps (NCC) training calendar.
For the first time in history, cadets from Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh are participating, joining peers from all 17 NCC directorates across the country. The inclusion highlights NCC’s emphasis on national integration and equal opportunities in youth development through military training.
This year’s camp features a range of activities, including microlight flying, drone operations, aeromodelling, and firing drills, along with competitive events designed to build discipline and leadership skills. The focus on aviation and unmanned systems reflects growing cadet interest in aerospace technology, which has surged by nearly 40% in recent years.
Cadets for AIVSC 2025 were selected through a rigorous process involving Inter-Group Competitions and Pre-Vayu Sainik Camps held nationwide. Several state contingents, including Maharashtra, departed for Bengaluru on September 17 to take part in the elite training program.
Addressing the cadets, Air Vice Marshal Mammen underscored the importance of the camp in shaping future leaders, instilling discipline, and nurturing a spirit of service. The event will also include educational tours to leading aerospace and defense organizations, giving cadets hands-on exposure to cutting-edge technology.
The AIVSC 2025 not only celebrates youth empowerment but also reaffirms NCC’s role as a cornerstone of national pride, character building, and future-ready leadership.
