Director General Sashastra Seema Bal (DG SSB) Shri Sanjay Singhal, IPS, conducted an inspection of Border Outposts (BOPs) under the 3rd Battalion deployed along the Indo-Nepal border.

During his visit, the DG reviewed the operational preparedness and vigilance measures undertaken by the troops in guarding the sensitive frontier. He interacted with personnel on ground, assessed their readiness, and commended their dedication in ensuring the security and integrity of the nation’s borders.

Shri Singhal also motivated the troops, acknowledging their tireless efforts in maintaining round-the-clock vigilance despite challenging conditions. He stressed the importance of SSB’s role not only in border security but also in fostering harmony and cooperation with border communities.

The SSB, under the Ministry of Home Affairs, remains a frontline force entrusted with guarding the 1,751 km-long Indo-Nepal border. Regular inspections and motivational interactions by senior leadership are aimed at enhancing morale, ensuring efficiency, and reinforcing the force’s commitment to national security.
