During a routine movement in the area, Lt Shrang Singh came across a car that had overturned on the roadside in the dark of night. Without hesitation, he immediately rushed to the scene, assessing the situation and prioritizing the safety of those trapped inside.
The vehicle’s occupant was identified as the wife of a retired Havildar from the 7 JAT Regiment. Despite the risks involved, Lt Shrang Singh climbed into the unstable vehicle and carefully extricated the injured woman, ensuring she remained calm and unharmed during the rescue operation.

Going beyond just the immediate rescue, Lt Shrang Singh secured her personal belongings from the wrecked vehicle and ensured they were safely returned. He also remained on site until she was reunited with her family, demonstrating the Army’s deep-rooted value of Service Before Self.
