Military Hospital Pathankot commemorated the Centenary of the Military Nursing Service (MNS) on 01 October 2025, celebrating 100 years of selfless service, dedication, and compassionate care to the nation. The occasion paid tribute to the invaluable contributions of MNS officers who have tirelessly served Armed Forces personnel, veterans, and their families, often under the most challenging conditions.
Established in 1926, the Military Nursing Service has been an integral pillar of the Indian Armed Forces’ healthcare system, symbolising the highest ideals of duty, courage, and empathy. Over the decades, MNS personnel have served on the frontlines during wars, peacekeeping missions, natural disasters, and pandemics, providing lifesaving medical care and emotional support.
Their role has been vital not only in treating battlefield injuries but also in ensuring the overall health, wellbeing, and morale of troops and their families.
