BSF Releases Video Of 14 Pakistani Posts Being Destroyed

0

According to news reports, the BSF today released a video of Pakistani bunkers being destroyed by Indian soldiers in retaliatory firing.

Earlier, a thermal imagery of terrorists crossing the LoC surfaced:

Inspector General of BSF D K Upadhyay said that Pakistani Rangers, with an active support of Pakistan Army, are firing heavy mortars deliberately towards Indian civilian areas.

“Pakistani forces are firing heavy mortars deliberately towards Indian civilian areas. BSF never fires towards any Pakistani civilian area. We fire only towards military bunkers from where Pakistani forces fire. We have inflicted heavy damage on 14 Pakistani bunkers,” he said.

He went on to add that if there was any civilian casualty on the Pakistani side, it was because the civilian population lives very close to the military bunkers that might have resulted in “collateral” damage.

The senior officer of the Border Security Force also showed images of BSF’s firing which targeted only military bunkers in Pakistan.

In an escalation of the tension along the border, eight people, including two children and four women, were killed and 22 injured yesterday as Pakistani troops targeted civilian areas in Jammu region inviting strong retaliation by Indian forces who killed two Pakistani soldiers and destroyed their 14 posts.

Watch The Video Here:

Video Source: India TVIn view of increased shelling and firing by Pakistan, Jammu and Kashmir government has ordered the closure of all the 400 schools along the International Border (IB) and Line of Control (LoC).

With cross-border firing escalating, Home Minister Rajnath Singh reviewed the situation at a meeting in Delhi which was attended by Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar, National Security Advisor Ajit Doval, Army Chief General Dalbir Singh Suhag and other top officials.

Tension along the IB and LOC escalated since the surgical strikes by army targeting terror launch pads in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) on September 29.

20 Mind Refreshing SRT Situations
20 Mind Refreshing SRT Situations

In my previous post, I’ve mentioned some psychology tricks you can try while you are on your stay during SSB. These, however, do not guarantee your selection but surely will make a good impression on the assessors and your mates, thus increasing your chances of getting recommended.

Here are 7 more psychology tricks you can try on assessors and other candidates during your SSB:

  1. Never give the data first, Give a story: Although data is always accurate people tend to believe in stories and overlook data. So when you are giving someone some data, give it with a story first.
  1. Be a person of your word: Always be a person of your word. Always keep your word. This isn’t some trick. This is just the basic thing to make people trust in you.Psychology Tricks to Try During SSB
  1. The Argument weapon: When arguing with someone, act much calmer than them. This can cause them to say something particularly irrational which you can use against them. Do it when in GD or other group tasks.
  1. The Epic search technique: You adapted reading from left to right so while searching something in a page or anywhere search from right to left. It will drastically reduce the chances of missing something.
  1. Arrive early the first time you meet someone: It’s not punctuality issue or anything, it’s just that people will think that you are more interested and invested in them when you arrive early.
  1. Giving a bold presentation: If you want your presentation to stand out and to make people think that it was bold, give an effective presentation without pictures. Add cool stories, plot twists, opening icebreakers, humorous self-mockery and end your presentation on a rather serious note. This can be tried out during the PPDT and Lecturette.
  1. The OCEAN Test: If you want to stop judging someone and start analyzing you have to take these five things into consideration, Openness to experience, Conscientiousness, Extroversion, Agreeableness, Neuroticism. Perfectly balancing these five is considered “Ideal” behavior. So, behaving ideally while on a stay during SSB will get your chances of success higher.

NDA SSB Interview

Getting recommended in SSB the best thing that can happen to a defence aspirant. Going through all the test and selection procedures and finally being able to clear it gives immense satisfaction to oneself.

However, the assessors of the SSB are humans too, just like us and they look for something in us that would make us stand out in the crowd – and they do it psychologically without you even noticing it. So, here are 6 psychology tricks you can try while on your stay at the SSB and get your chances of getting recommended high:

  1. It’s not what you say, it’s the way you say: No matter how harsh your response to something is going to be account into other people’s feelings and know how to express and explain. Even the deadliest things can be explained with ease if you maintain the phase of the conversation in an excusable way. This could help you in GD, lecturette or even interview.
  1. Notice the eye color when you first meet someone: This is a textbook psychological trick. Every post about psychology tricks contains this. The explanation is really simple. If you try to observe the person’s eye colour you obviously are going to have to look into their eyes for a second or two. People tend to trust people who maintain eye contact. Try this on the interviewer during your Personal Interview.Psychology Tricks to Try During SSB
  1. Mirroring body language and slang words: If you want the interviewer to agree with you or like you while having a conversation, pick a slang word they often use and their body movement while using it (believe me everyone has got one) You mirror that and they will like you more.
  1. Asking the meaning/story of their name: Not everyone likes their name, but everyone gets used to it eventually. So you asking them the meaning of their name or the story behind the name will make them like you more. DO NOT try this on assessors. You can try this on the other candidates who are at stay with you.
  1. Show your dark side: Nobody trusts a person without a dark side. You want to make someone trust you! Reveal a small amount of your dark side. A childhood tragedy or a relationship went wrong anything. If you are really that sane and don’t actually have a dark side make up a story. People will trust you more once you share the dark side that’s been bothering you. Try this at the interviewer at your own risk!
  1. Know where to stop: This is a continuation to the above but can be treated as its own point too. Know where to stop even if you are revealing your dark side or anything else. You never overstay your welcome and that applies to conversations too. Do all your tricks while you are welcome and always keep an eye about where and when to stop.

What If Pakistan Surrenders Like 1971 And Asks For A Merger?

0
Pakistan Surrenders 1971

We recently witnessed the deadly Uri attacks that claimed the lives of our innocent soldiers. India responded by carrying out surgical strikes at terrorist bases across the border. This is not the first time such activity has happened. Earlier this year, Pakistan did a Pathankot too and that too was avenged by India.

But the big question is, will this rat-cat game ever end? Will Pakistan ever surrender to India like in 1971 and ask for a peaceful merger in future? This quora thread got your answers:

Pakistan Surrenders 1971

Let’s look at a merger later but lets look at the divisions first. Uttarakhand, Jharkhand, Telangana, Bangladesh, USSR were all a part of something before being broken apart. Similarly, states may break like Baluchistan following the example of East Pakistan now called Bangladesh which itself is quite remote.

Also, China will never allow this as their path for future will be in danger if it happens, because India and China are superpower of the future. China will not support those scenarios where India and Pakistan can reunite as it will directly stop its supremacy in Asia Pacific region. There is a big reason why China is investing 46 billion USD in Pakistan, in return China virtually expects Kashmir issue to remain alive.

Also, currently India is the 2nd highest Muslim populated country in the world after Indonesia and our so called secular political parties are fighting regularly, to retain the minority status for Muslims for their vote bank.

If at all, Pakistan merger with India takes place, the change point would be that Indian will then become the 1st and topmost Muslim populated country in the world and know what, still our so called secular parties will even fight harder to secure their minority status to further improve their vote bank.

So, will history reverse itself to get a united nation? Well, Germany got unified out of the will of its people. In Asia, North and South Korea remains apart. South Vietnam was forcibly taken over by North Vietnam (there are counter arguments) but a war and over running the south by north brought the unification.

So, unification may be possible if all are calm and quite, but that will go against the interest of politicians who rule us both here and there. So they won’t allow it, there will be more Kargil like issues continue to happen.

What Actually Is The Kashmir Issue And How Did It Started?

0
The Kashmir Issue

During the British rule, there were so many princely states. After independence, most of them joined India and few handful joined Pakistan. Jammu & Kashmir was the only princely state that decided to remain independent after 1947.

Kashmir was independent until the October of 1947 when Pakistan decided to forcefully annex it. The invading army took a big chunk of the state and plunged the state into darkness by cutting the power supply hence starting the Kabali (Pashtun tribal) war against Jammu and Kashmir.

Once these tribes cross the border and reached the Jammu and Kashmir, Maharaja asked for India assistance. After that the monarch of Kashmir, Hari Singh invited India to save the country hence signing the instrument of accession.

Meanwhile, Pakistani Pashtun tribes reached Jammu and Kashmir and started raping, looting Muslim population. Indian army entered the state and got rid of the invading group from two-thirds of the state.

Three years later, elections were held in Jammu & Kashmir and people of J&K voted in favor of joining India formally. The constituent assembly of Jammu and Kashmir – A Constitution was written by the Kashmiris and that explicitly said that the state would be a part of the Indian Union.

The Kashmir Issue

Since then, multiple elections have taken place as a part of Indian democracy and the people showed the little intent of leaving India.

India and Pakistan fought 4 major wars and each time Pakistan believed that the people would rise up against India & welcome the invading forces. Each time, the locals rose up against the invading forces and always tipped the Indian army. What the locals want is peace and the ability to run their own life. They want Pakistan to leave them alone and want their own government to reduce the armed presence created as a reaction to the neighbor’s advancements.

Legally the state of Jammu & Kashmir is a part of India – through the monarch’s instrument of accession and morally it is a part of India as most people have voted for it. There should end the story. Other than a few miscreants both in India and outside, people feel they are a part of India.

What Pakistan did by war violence and military procrastination for 65 years, India did by political procrastination (for ~40 years) and illegally hard state-sanctioned militarization (for ~20 years).

Even if an independent state of J&K would be left alone, the powers around it would soon invade it. Besides the Muslim population, the state also has a large Hindu and Buddhist population. In the case of an occupation by Pakistan, those populations would be decimated – similar to what happened in Sindh and Pakistani Punjab in 1947. The whole-scale extermination of people is completely unacceptable.

In short, India has a strong moral ground and both Kashmiris and the rest of India find it comfortable with the present status quo. It is also fairly clear from our past experience that India leaving the state would cause more harm to the locals [especially Hindus and Buddhists and to some extent the Kashmiri Muslims as well] than India managing it.

So, however Pakistan may try claiming Kashmir, it is formally a part of India and will always be.

Here’s How India Fooled Pakistani Intelligence During Surgical Strikes

0
Source: India Today

India’s surgical strike is being celebrated across the nation with full joy. Finally, India strikes back to the terror attacks it has been going through. But the best part is, even after the Uri attacks, it was a hell load of difficult for the army to carry out the strikes as the ISI was on high alert. But even after this, Indian soldiers managed to fool the ISI and strike the enemy. Here’s how it went through:

  1. It was an almost moonless night, which was very crucial to the operation, helping the commandos camouflage themselves in the night.Source: India Today
  2. Ghatak platoon of 6 Bihar and 10 Dogra units were made part of the surgical operations as they were familiar with the terrain. It also gave them a sense of responsibility in avenging the deaths of their fellow jawans. Both units suffered losses in the Uri terror attack on September, 18.
  3. Local commanders were given a free hand to select the targets. Terrorist launching pads had been mapped in advance. The teams had been already moved to forward positions by helicopters, but no Indian army chopper crossed the LOC. The helicopters remained on standby throughout the operations. The troops carried Carl Gustav rifles, grenades, shoulder fired weapons and flamethrowers among other equipment.
  4. The Cartosat-2C images helped with narrowing down the locations for the strikes. We have very good external intelligence and our Army is watching them from over a week, so Indian army made a fool-proof plan!
  5. It started with artillery fire being opened up at a few locations including along LOC in Uri. As the Pakistani troops focused themselves on retaliating to the firing, Indian commandos crawled across the LOC to the predetermined spots across the LOC. The targets were terrorist launching pads in Hot Springs, Kel, and Lipa that came under 15 Corps, while Bhimber Gali came under the Army’s 16th corps. Even then two trucks of Pakistani Rangers arrived at the spot and two of them are killed and nine of them are injured.
  6. The entire surgical strike is planned 2 to 5 km across POK, which legally belongs to India. So we need not worry about breaking sovereignty of any nation or informing anyone beforehand!
  7. A very well planned strategy by Indian James bond Ajit Doval along with the defense minister Parrikar and PM Modi facilitated our brave army commandos to carry out this precision surgical strike with no casualties on Indian side!
  8. All this left very less time for the Pakistani intelligence to gather information and inform about the strike. By the time, they knew about it, the strike was successful, and we won.
