Indian Navy invites unmmaried male candidates for grant of Short Service Commission [SSC] in Executive Branch (Information Technology ) of the Indian Navy for Dec 2012 Course at INA, Ezimala, Kerala.
Eligibility:
Educational Qualification :
- BE/B.tech (Computer Science/Computer Engg/IT)
- BSc(IT)
- M.tech(Comp Science)
- MSc(Computer)
- BCA/MCA
Note: Not qualified and Final year students are not eligible
Age:
19 and half to 25 years born between 02 Jan 1988 to 01 Jul 1993( both dates inclusive)
Selection Procedure :
- Candidate will be shortlisted for SSB interview based on their performance in highest degree they have .
- SSB interviews will be scheduled from July-Nov 2012 onward.
How to Apply:
- Candidates are to apply ‘e-application’ (Online) from nausena-bharti.nic.in. Online link go live from 07 Jul 12 till 22 Jul 12.
- After submitting the form, a ‘Application Number’ will be generated and appear on the printout of the form. If the system does not generate the Application Number, it is an indication of non-acceptance of Application by the system.
- Print two copies of the online Application Form having the system generated Application Number. One copy of this Application Form is to be duly signed and mailed (posted) to Post Box No. 04, Chanakyapuri, New Delhi – 110 021.
- A superscription is to be made on envelope: ONLINE APPLICATION NO.______APPLICATION FOR SSC X(INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY) BRANCH- DEC 2012 COURSE Qualification ______ Percentage _____%.
- Attach the following documents:- Self attested photograph, Attested photo copies of 10th & 12th class certificates along with Mark Sheets, other educational certificates and mark sheets of all semester/years.
Note:
- Application is to be posted through normal post. Application sent by Speed Post/Registered Post/Courier/e-mail will not be accepted.
- Final receipt of the printout of the Online Application Form with system generated Application Number and all documents as mentioned above if received by 31 Jul 12 will be the final CONFIRMATION of receipt of your Application at IHQ MoD (Navy). Hence, only filling the application Online/generation of Application Number does not imply that the candidate has fulfilled all the criteria given in the advertisement.

Hi, I have some critical situation in front of me. Please give your valuable views.
I work in a top MNC with a fairly decent package and currently in a business trip to Denmark. The trip is expected to last another 2-3 months. Moreover, I have been selected for SSB in Indian Navy scheduled next month.
My question is : Should I cut my trip in the middle and attend SSB?
PS:
1). I am paid quite good in the Business trip in addition to salary I get in India. So coming back in the middle will mean a fair good amount of monetary loss.
2). I talked to Navy people and they say that the maximum they can extend the date is by another 15 days, which is not going to solve the problem.
3). I am currently working as a Software Engineer and dream to become an officer in Indian Navy.
4). This is possibly my last chance to attend SSB as I will turn 25 next year.
Also, can you give a rough idea of approx number of vacancies. This being a new cadre, I suspect number of vacancies will be more. However I do also know that they won’t hire even a single person if they don’t find any one with Officers Like Quality.

I have some doubts regarding selection procedure.
Will there be any special Tech(IT) round or normal as other SSB interview ?
will I prepare for the tech. aspect also or only the comm. skill,GD,PPT,SRT etc.

i hv cleared my sem 8 engg with 73 percentage.my results were out on 19 july 2012 . i have applied for ssc executive branch online.and i also now my score of sem 8.now remains the posting part.problem is that i dont have marksheet of sem 8 as of now and deadline is 31 july.shall i send post with only 7 sems marksheet or shall i write a letter with the post citing this problem?? i can reproduce sem 8 later if they ask…
help help plzzz

Youshould contact Navy regarding this, they have mentioned that not qualified or appearing in final exam can not apply, so you can not apply until your results are out.
They are not picking up phone..i am clueless..i missed this chance..i am sad

Sir how to fill the form for 8th semester as in Engg.
There are 7 semesters .ie.(first yr +6semesters=total 7)
There will be an option for only 7 semesters.
there is a option 3 year diploma or first year common and regular b.tech opt that one
Call Navy, they will put an option for you. Did you try filling the first 7 sems only and submitting the form ??
