This is not the first time aspirants are facing problem with Indian Army SSC-tech entries, but since long aspirants have faced problems like crash while online application submission for TGC and SSC-tech. Then finding their roll number and name in the list and then waiting for call up letter which may or may not reach you.
Also there is hardly someone who will pickup your call at selection board and yes if you are lucky you may find someone who will give some response like read the SSB call letter. This post is not to put someone down but to agree on problem faced by aspirants and solve them. This has to be improved and can not be overlooked by such a prestigious and big organization.
Now coming to what kind of problem SSCW-12th Tech Women Entry candidates are facing. There are few queries which we are receiving frequently from them.
- Even though I have 70%, I am unable to find my name in the list.
- My Roll number is wrongly mentioned in the list.

Why there is no stability in technical entries ?
- Every Time technical entry comes, our inbox flooded with queries in which random candidate facing problem related to his/her candidature.
- Why there is no smooth way of conducting such entries? Why such a big organization can not improve this recruitment process.
- Why they can’t make their website world class, it is just a matter of money. If you want to outsource your website then do it with best company.Why would candidate suffer from your pathetic website.
- Are the concerned department aware of such things, I guess no, these things are common and happening since long.
- Apparently, board is just concerned with conducting the SSB Interviews because end of the day they will get huge crowd no matter who left behind.
Cut off issue ?
- This is one more issue sticked with Indian army technical entries. Many aspirants are not happy with the cut off marks declared for SSC-41 tech and SSCW-12th tech.
- Few candidates are asking why they are considering marks till 1st to 6th semester only.
- Why the cut off marks are different for women and men entries.

Hi every one , I am short listed for SSB INTERVIEW SSCW(T)-12 OCT 2013 COURSE IN THE ARMY .They mentioned in the call letter that I have to submit hard copy of application form that I have submitted online pasted with photograph. My interview is on 30 th june at Bhopal. I lost my application form and I have all the remaining documents. So please tell me as early as possible whether I am allowed to attend for the interview or not.
I have my name in the list, but too I am not happy coz most of my frens are ineligible..
What the hell’s wrong with the army, At the ssb they say that they r not at all looking for candidates with high percentage and they do this kind of stuff. I think one day will come when candidates with 90% plus will be directly called for the training…If it isn’t stopped now, it’ll be very serious later.
With me this has been a continuous problem. Whether Its Army/Navy/Air force the websites are really pathetic. Everytym I tried to fill a application it either was not properly filled or if it gets filled then there is not my name on the selected candidates list. How can be they so ignorant about such major problems! The websites are never updated on time and there links dont work properly. What are they doing! Recruiting or playing with student’s future? Think of those students who have the last chance to apply but they fail to apply just because of these technical glitches. Who is at fault here? and the big question is why should the students suffer?
In such a technologically advanced time cant they manage to keep there websites timely and properly updated?

We are highly disappointed from Army recruitment division on this.
Sir, one thing we want to understand is.. why the person is made to suffer because of his %age.
We understand the significance of being an officer, but % age score never defines that person doesn’t have OLQ’s.
Even though recruitment team want to avoid flooded registrations but they can atleast reduce the cut off’s or conduct common entrance exam for it.
Sir,please suggest us a way this can be handled.

Thanks Admin, for recognizing me. The alternate i am left with is CDS entry now. I have filled TGC 118 application and submitted it. I will be sending it soon as well, lets see what god has decided for me 🙂 I will not leave the game until i can play.

you probably have fairer chance getting in armed forces of US / France rather than our own Indian Army, Procedure sucks and totally based on human calculations but not empirical, it is very demoralizing and Unfair.

jobs.. kind of.. I’m from south (A.P) in 2007 ( when Internet was not
this much available and prevailed) I started searching for the info how
to get in the services in normal by meeting people of ex.. I got full
info it took lot of time and dedication..so guys who have interest I
mean real interest and AIMed..not just as a career option cause it’s
Govt., were applying and ofcource that means less candidates so almost
it never crossed 55-60% before.. but now these sites giving it within
minutes and that too no need to visit it..they themselves send it to
your mail.. so many guys apllying just because they found good salary
and allowance in the advertisement without knowing meaning of SSB.. so
lacks of applications..so Admin has to manage those..so they raised the %
to 65-70% and that too untill 6th sem..which make the applications to
shrink like anything.. from lack to ten thousand.. so just tell the guys
who applies just to try as a career option not as a CHOICE and AIM…

dude first of all v r not applying for an MNC k and changing the % at the last moment is demanding for more dowry in the mandup…..if they want to judge a person they have there best selection process to du so % was never on d cards…..than the second thing is that we have worked hard to get those 60% also…half of the officer’s in the indian army r graduated below 65% and they r the best…so don’t give us a fuck to do hard work..there r ppl who r living there life to get this 1 chance….this action is done only to cover there inability to adjust to the increasing applicant nothing else……..this is not to let them down but to make them think…..
A true motivator to join this prestigious organization….
i think if they want to get the best…please keep % as default like 65 and make an entrance test to technical entries.. it would be better…
I totally agree with you Mr.Hope…my personal opinion is that %age is not a factor which can measure the capability of becoming an officer. And i have live example of my cousin with me supporting the same.
My cousin completed 10th class in 2nd attempt, and 12th class in 2nd attempt with 54% marks.
He completed his B.sc with 52% marks and now he is Lieutenant in Garhwal rifles.
Other example is my friend, he had 15 supplementary in engg. and finally cleared the degree with 63%. He is now in IMA, and will be attending POP next month.
All together, what i have observed is that %age is not key factor in their cases for becoming an officer.
Secondly, Mr smoking has mentioned about raised cut off in MNC’s. My friend, the companies with product based like yahoo, adobe etc are raising %age. Service based MNC’s like accenture, infosys,tcs accept freshers at 60% that too from every branch because they know they can teach them and assimilate them as per their requirement.
Then comes the question of recruitment in army, army doesn’t have to compete with other organization within the country as it is unified therefore they have positive end of assimilating large work force and then train them accordingly. Lowering the criteria will allow more people to participate, because all students are not einstein.

Unfortunately, both factors “attitude” and “skills” cant be measure by your degree %age.

i would like to add that,while considering cut off they should also have knowledge about different university first class cut off.
For example when it come to pune university 60% is first class
and 66 is distinction
getting above 60% here is considered as achievement
on the other hand in other university getting even 80% is no big deal
And yes of-course why 1-6sem when our degree is of 8sem..?
and why different cut off for male and female
wel dat’s true but yaar itna bhi aasan nai hai dusari universities mai bhai marks lana…kkk so sabke liye ek hi hona chaiye. ….for BSC and other student they r putting it 4 60%after graduation….bhai humne engg ki hai halwa nai banaya…..

You go out of the way , drop the plan to work in a Corporate & want to do be of some use to your Govt or Country. You apply for Army & get Recommended from Allahabad board but your Merit Out because of low requirements in Women Tech entries.
You say it to yourself “don’t worry Your 25 you cannot apply for Navy , and Non-Tech but there is a hope & there are 4 Army 4 Air force entries , your last 8 attempts , You’ll do well. You fill the form Optimistically & now realize that because of a 10% hike in criteria your not eligible i.e Not Eligible for Army in spite of being earlier recommended or in spite you falling in the Age Bar.
Candidates have reduced from 7-8 thousand entries to 4 thousand now. Generally 70% up people are neways placed with some or the other Companies & not many are interested. I belong to Mumbai University & am a 2011 passout. There are hardly 2-5 % people who get a 70% in MU & PU and most of them join Multinats or go abroad. the marking system across Universities is not same.
The Govt definitely has something in mind when they take a decision like this but why can’t we have a fair Entrance exam or a qualifier percentage.
There are people who have given up bigger things in life or made sacrifices, however small or big , atleast they deserve a chance to be tested.
I told in my Interview that one of the reasons I want to join Army is there is no discrimination or being Biased , can I still say the same when the Percentage criteria for Men & Women entries are different , HUGE gap!
