New Delhi, October 30, 2026: The Indian Army organised a National Integration Tour for students from three schools in Poonch and Ladakh under Operation Sadbhavana, providing young participants an opportunity to visit the national capital and experience India’s rich cultural heritage and diversity.
The initiative aimed to strengthen national integration, promote cultural understanding and foster a sense of unity among students from remote and strategically important regions of the country.
During their visit to New Delhi, the students interacted with the General Officer Commanding (GOC), Delhi Area, who encouraged them to pursue their aspirations with confidence and embrace the values of unity, harmony and shared national identity.
The interaction provided the young visitors an opportunity to engage with senior Army leadership and gain inspiration from the Armed Forces’ commitment to national service and nation-building.
The National Integration Tour forms part of the Indian Army’s ongoing outreach initiatives under Operation Sadbhavana, which focuses on strengthening relations between the Armed Forces and local communities, particularly in Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh.

Through educational tours, community development programmes, healthcare initiatives and other welfare activities, Operation Sadbhavana seeks to improve opportunities for people living in remote and border areas while promoting mutual trust and understanding.
Such tours allow students from geographically isolated regions to explore different parts of India, interact with people from diverse backgrounds and develop a broader understanding of the country’s cultural, educational and social landscape.

The Indian Army highlighted that the initiative reflects its continued commitment to connecting young minds across regions and strengthening their sense of belonging to the nation.
By bringing students from Poonch and Ladakh to the national capital, the programme reinforces the spirit of national integration and demonstrates the Army’s role beyond military operations in promoting education, unity and social development.
