Height and Weight Standard Ratio for Indian Armed Forces

Dear all Defense aspirants, In this article I have discussed the medical standards of Indian Armed forces with respect to height and weight ratio for both male and female candidates. If you are going to SSB then first read it also and maintains yourself fit according to the standards of Indian Armed Forces. The height and weight ratio is shown as below

Note: The Medical board permits +/- 10% of the candidate’s weight (i.e. if a candidate is 21 year old with height 167 then boards will pass him if his weight in between 50.4 and 61.6)

      If you get temporary rejection due to overweight, you need to reduce it within given time of 25- 30 days.

    m a quite muscular guy but my weight is outside the range my height is near abt 173cm & my weight is approx 80 so m i eligible 4 defense officer’s entry or not? plz reply asap!!!!!

      You need to shed about 10 kgs of weight but try….. if you get recomended the medical officer himself will tell you how much weight you need to lose

    I am 73kg , height 169 cms….how much Kg should I decreased more,,,,for a 169cms with age 24yrs,,,,My ideal BMI should be 71kg…..so do I have to be 71kg or decreased below 71kg
