AFCAT 1 2014 is scheduled to be held on 23 Feb 2014. Aspirants have enough time to prepare if they start preparing now for AFCAT. Considering the previous year’s AFCAT papers we can say that there is a gradual rise in the level of difficulty of the paper especially in the GK section. Hence cracking AFCAT is no more an affair of one month study, you need to study well before and know the exact things what may be asked. AFCAT 1 2014 Exam Pattern
The AFCAT paper consists of 100 multiple choice questions. Each question carries 3 marks. The questions are asked from the fields of Current Affairs, General Knowledge, and Mathematics of high school level, reasoning and English. For each correct answer 3 marks are avoided and for every wrong answer 1 mark is deducted. The time duration for the exam is two hours. Hence the Paper is of 300 marks. The cutoff for the previous AFCAT exam was 116 (AFCAT 2-2013) however of earlier AFCAT exams i.e. AFCAT1/2013, AFCAT2/2012 etc ranged around 143-144 marks.

Once the candidate see’s the notification they can register themselves on the Candidate Login Section of the website
www.careerairforce.nic.in. After getting registered an email is sent to the email ID through which you got yourself registered, in the email a unique password is given. You can log in again on the websites candidate login section. Now you can fill you form here, submit it, change your password etc. Be very careful while filling the form and before submitting it, since once submitted no information can be altered.
The whole procedure of form filling in AFCAT is online. The admit card is generated online itself. After successfully submitting the application form, the admit card can be generated after some days. You can in the mean time log into your account at the careerairforce website and check your application status. Once the admit card is generated you can download it and get a printout of the admit card.
Important Notes: Make sure that you fulfill the eligibility criteria of the AFCAT. Sit with your mark sheets and fill in the correct percentage. Proper care should be taken by the engineering students since they have to fill in certain subjects in order to qualify for the Technical Branch Entry. Be ready with a photograph which must be following the standard of the Application. Have a scanned or digital size photograph you can edit it as per instructions to reduce/increase its size. Be careful while filling the exam center since the centers for Written exams are never changed (Except for some very very very rare cases).

Afcat 1 2014, is only for courses commencing from january 2015.So you are not eligible as you would be studying in your last semester when the courses commence.

As showing on this page on your website that application forms will be available from 10/12/2013 but there is no link on careerairforce.nic.in from where I can apply for it. I even tried looking for it by clicking on the candidate login section and then on the new user but by clicking on that link shows “REGISTRATIONS HAVE BEEN CLOSED”. Please help me..

No, you are not. As the minimum age criteria is either you should be of 18 or 19. But there is one more requirement that you should have completed your graduation or you should be in the final year of your graduation.
