Indian Coast Guard Recruitment Notification Batch 1/2017

Indian Coast Guard has issued the notification for the recruitment of Assistant Commandants for the batch 1/2017. It is a great career opportunity to be a part of the Armed forces of India, as a Group ‘A’ Gazetted Officer and with a pay scale of Rs.15600-39100 with Grade Pay Rs 5400. Men and women who have the given qualification can apply for the posts in accordance to their qualification.

01 Jul 1992 to 30 Jun 1998 (both dates inclusive).

Technical branch (Mechanical and Electrical)
Engineering degree with 60% marks in aggregate or Should have passed sections A and B of Institute of Engineers (India) examination in any of the discipline listed below with 60% marks.
(a) Engineering Branch Mechanical/ Naval architecture/ Marine/ Industrial and Production/ Metallurgy/ Mechatronics/ Aeronautical/ Aerospace Engg.
(b) Electrical Branch Electrical/Electronics/Power Engg/Electronics and Communication/Instrumentation and Controls/Power Electronics/ Instrumentation Engg. * All the above streams of Engg. must be recognised by All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE).
60% marks in aggregate in Physics and Maths in 12th class.                   OR
Three year diploma course with an aggregate of 60%

Short Service Appointments: Short Service Appointments as Assistant Commandant for a period of 08 years, which may be extended to 10 years and further extendable up to 14 years

Note

  1. Maximum 5% relaxation in aggregate in the degree certificate only for SC/ ST candidates, NCC ‘C’ certificate ( ‘A’ grade) holders, Sports person of National level (Inter State & above) and Wards of Coast Guard uniform personnel deceased while in service. No relaxation for 12 th class marks.
  2. (While short listing applications for call-up, priority will be given to candidates with higher percentage of marks.

    are above 60% bt due to health problems i was y.d. in S.E. So is it

  4. I see that in this Batch 2/2014 CG notification the age limit for Technical Branch has come down from 30 years to 25 years when compared to 1/2014 selection. I will be 27 next January. Can I apply?

  5. what is the approx cut off % in graduation degree for a call for
    preliminary selection board for general duty course for a general category
    candidate …. please tell admin as soon as possible …
