Being overweight can result in the candidate getting a Temporary Rejection in his medical exam. To lose weight after getting a TR is not very difficult but you need to be determined and need to follow a certain tight schedule.

The first thing you need to pay attention to is your diet. Try to eat food which is low on starches, sugar and animal fats. This means you need to stay away from potato chips, fries, pastries, soft drinks, candies and cakes. Eat food which is rich in protein and fiber. This includes leafy vegetables, egg whites, fruits and salads. Drinking a lot of water not only helps to lose weight, but it keeps your immune system healthy and your skin good looking. Also, unsweetened green tea is a great substitute for soft drinks as it contains anti-oxidants which keep our body healthy.  Eat at a fixed time and don’t skip a meal.

Exercise is the best way to lose body fat. You can start with easy and stamina building exercises like jogging and swimming. Always remember to stretch your body and have a proper warm-up before going into any exercise. A good warm-up always gives you a little sweat but doesn’t tire you so that you can’t start with your exercises. You can start jogging from the first day itself but don’t exert yourself. In the first week do stamina building jogging and cycling so that later you can carry out your exercise for longer durations. Once you start jogging and/or cycling on a regular basis, you may start doing skipping and suicides (also known as ladder). You should also concentrate on the parts of your body where you have high amounts of stored fats. Most of the time, the belly region has the greatest amount of fat, so you should do exercises concentrating on that part like crutches. Also, playing high end sports like football, basketball and hockey keep you running and cause your body to lose weight. The more you sweat, the more you lose weight.

Starving yourself won’t help you if your aim is to lose weight. It is not good for your body and also is counterproductive. Similarly, stress doesn’t help you either in losing weight. When one is stressed, his body releases cortisones which increase one’s appetite. Also, remain determined and don’t give up if you can’t see the results in the first few days. Remember, it’s your dream job that you are training for and you have IT in you.
