  • TGC-124 and TGC 125 Course: This is a technical Entry for Indian Army for the Male Technical (Engineering) Graduates, for a Permanent Commission. The notification for this is expected by April and October 2016. The procedure of selection through TGC Entry is that the candidates applying for TGC are shortlisted for entry as per the cut off decided by Army. There are no such percentage criteria at the time of application. The mode of application is online and shortlisted candidates are called for SSB interview which is a five- day process including screening tests, psychological tests, group tasks, and Personal Interview, then the selected candidates go for medical examination. In the end the final merit list is prepared, and those whose name appears in the list join IMA.
  • 10+2 Technical Entry Scheme TES 35 and TES 36 course: Through this entry male Candidates who have passed 10+2 examination with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics subjects, for the grant of Permanent Commission in the Army, as Engineers. Thus if you get selected through course you’ll be doing a technical training (and getting an Engineering Degree) and Military Training and finally be inducted as officer in the Army. The minimum percentage required to apply for this is 70% in PCM in class 12th from recognized board. The selection procedure of TES is that candidates above 70% in PCM apply through online mode, then shortlisting of applications is done and a cutoff percentage is decided depending upon the entries received (generally between 80-85%). Thus applicants scoring above the decided cutoff are called for SSB, then successful candidates are called for Medicals, then the final Merit is prepared. The notification for this exam is expected to be released by May 2015 and October 2015.
  • CDS Exam: CDSE exam is conducted to induct officers into Army, Navy and Airforce. This is a graduate level exam and hence graduates or final year students can apply for his. There are three papers in the written exam, English, GK and Math. While English and GK is compulsory for all, Math is to be given only by applicants who desire to join IMA, AFA or NA for permanent commission. Women can only join OTA for Short Service Commission; men can also join OTA apart from IMA, NA, and AFA. The notification for CDS Exam will be released in July and November.
  • University Entry Scheme UES 26 and UES 27: Only male candidates can apply for UES 26 for a Permanent Commission in Army.
