How Much To Score In SSB Interview | Marks Of Recommended Candidates

This must be a very interesting topic because everybody wants to know how much one should score in SSB interview and what are the marks of a recommended candidates. You will be surprised to see the percentage of marks you should score to get recommended. We have data of recommended candidates through CDS entry which shows the marks scored by the candidates who got recommended for IMA, OTA, AFA and NA. i.e. for Army (IMA &OTA), Air Force (AFA) and Navy (NA).

You will also see the written test cut off is very low when compared with the SSB interview marks and to clear the SSB interview cut off you have to at least score 75% which is very difficult and that is the reason why SSB interview has very low success rate. Let’s see the date.

This screenshot is from CDS 2 2018 cut off which is officially declared by UPSC. As you can see to clear the written test you just need to score 30 – 44% overall and minimum 20% in each subject/paper which is true for all services.  But now let’s take about how much you need to score in SSB interview.

CDS Maximum Marks

  • IMA – 300 marks
  • AFA – 300 marks
  • INA –  300 marks
  • OTA – 200 marks

SSB Maximum Marks

  • IMA – 300 marks
  • AFA – 300 marks
  • INA –  300 marks
  • OTA – 200 marks

Total Maximum Marks (CDS+SSB)

  • IMA – 600 marks
  • AFA – 600 marks
  • INA –  600 marks
  • OTA – 400 marks

As you could see the last recommended candidate got 250+ Marks out of 600 Marks for IMA through CDS entry and he got recommended. These are the marks of last recommended candidate who scored the least number and will be last in the merit list.
