AFCAT 1 2023 Notification To Come On 01 December 2022

Indian Air Force invites Indian citizens (Men and Women) to be part of this elite force as Group A Gazetted Officers in Flying and Ground Duty (Technical and Non-Technical) branches. Online registration for AFCAT 1 2023 examination will be start from 1st December 2022 to 30th December 2022.

Official Update: Online registration for AFCAT 1 2023 starts on 1st December 2022. For the upcoming AFCAT 1 2023 Exam, the IAF is adding the Weapons Systems Branch for the first time. Flying, technical, weapon systems, administration, logistics, accounts, education, meteorology, and NCC Special Entry Flying (NCC Air Wing ‘C’ certificate is required) are the entry branches for AFCAT 1 2023. AFCAT 1 2023 Notification

  • Indian citizens (men and women) are invited to join the Indian Air Force as Group A Gazetted Officers in the Flying and Ground Duty (Technical and Non-Technical) branches. The AFCAT 1 2023 online test will take place in February of that year.
  • The official notice of AFCAT 1 2023 will be released by the Indian Air Force on 1st December 2022. Registrations for the AFCAT 1 2023 will open on 1st December 2022.
  • Exams for the online AFCAT 1 2023 would possibly be given in the second week of February 2022. The AFCAT 1 2023 notice and exam date were keenly awaited by numerous Indian Air Force and AFCAT hopefuls who are preparing for the AFCAT 1 2023 written exam and SSB interview. AFCAT 1 2023 Age Limits

(a) Flying Branch: 20 to 24 years as of 01 Jan 2024 i.e. born between 02 Jan 2000 to 01 Jan 2004 (both dates inclusive). Upper age limit for candidates holding valid and current Commercial Pilot License issued by DGCA (India) is relaxable up to 26 years i.e. born between 02 Jan 1998 to 01 Jan 2004 (both dates inclusive).

(b) Ground Duty Technical Branch: 20 to 26 years as of 01 Jan 2024 i.e. born between 02 Jan 1998 to 02 Jan 2004 both dates Inclusive).

(c) Ground Duty Non-Technical Branch: 20 to 26 years as of 01 Jan 2024 i.e. born between 02 Jan 1998 to 02 Jan 2004 both dates Inclusive).

AFCAT 1 2023 Education Qualification

Flying Educational Qualification:

  • A graduate candidate with a minimum of 60% marks and must have scored a minimum of 50%marks in Maths and Physics in 10+2 in 12th standard.
  • B.Tech/ B.E candidates who have scored a minimum of 60% marks and have scored 60% marks in maths and physics in 10+2 in 12th standard are also eligible for it.

Ground Duty Technical Educational Qualification:

  • The candidate must have B.Tech/ B.E degree in notified streams as mentioned in the official notification of the IAF with a minimum of 60% marks and have scored a minimum of 50% marks in Physics and Maths in 10+2 standard are eligible for technical entry.

Ground Duty Non-Technical Educational Qualification:

  • Administration and Logistics – Graduation degree with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent.
  • Accounts – B.Com Degree with minimum 60% marks or equivalent.
  • Education – Post graduate degree (MBA / MCA or MA / M Sc degree in English / Physics / Mathematics / Chemistry / Statistics / International relations / International Studies / Defence Studies / Psychology / Computer Science / IT /Management / Mass Communication / Journalism / Public Relation) with minimum 50% marks, along with minimum 60% marks in graduation.

AFCAT 1 2023 Exam Syllabus

(a) English. Comprehension, Detect Error in Sentence, Sentence Completion/ Filling in of correct word, Synonym/ Antonym, Cloze Test or Fill in the Gaps in a paragraph, Idioms and Phrases, Analogy, Sentence Rearranging, Substitution in a Sentence/ One Word Substitution.

(b) General Awareness. History, Geography, Sports, National & International Organisations, Art & Culture, Personalities, Environment & Ecology, Indian Polity, Economy, Basic Science Based Knowledge, Science & Technology, Current Affairs (National & International), Defence.

(c) Numerical Ability. Decimal Fraction, Time and Work, Average/ Percentage, Profit & Loss, Ratio & Proportion, Simple and Compound Interest, Time & Distance and Races (Trains/ Boats & Streams), Area and Perimeter, Probability, Number System & Number Series, Mixture & Allegation Rules, Clocks.

(d) Reasoning and Military Aptitude Test. Verbal and Non-Verbal Reasoning

Standard Of Questions. The standard of Numerical Ability Questions will be of Matriculation level. The standard of questions in other subjects will be of graduation level (Indian University).
