In a significant development aimed at enhancing the living standards and welfare of the brave in-living Defence Security Corps (DSC) personnel, Admiral R Hari Kumar, PVSM, AVSM, VSM, ADC, Chief of the Naval Staff, inaugurated the state-of-the-art 492-men Accommodation Block named ‘VEERAM’ at Naushakti Nagar, Visakhapatnam, today.

Among its notable features are a modern cookhouse equipped with a biogas plant for sustainable cooking solutions, a fully equipped gymnasium to promote fitness and well-being, recreational amenities for leisure activities, and a comprehensive library to foster intellectual enrichment and personal development.
Designed by the Chief Engineer (Research & Development) and constructed in adherence to Sustainable Accommodation Design Standards (SADS), the Veeram Block stands as a shining example of modern architecture and infrastructure in line with the evolving needs and aspirations of our armed forces personnel.
Its aesthetic appeal, coupled with its functional design and eco-friendly features, sets a new benchmark for accommodation facilities within naval establishments.
