The India-ASEAN Initiative for Marine Pollution, announced during the ASEAN Defence Minister Plus Meeting in Cambodia, reflects India’s proactive approach towards promoting regional stability and security through constructive engagement and cooperation.

By strengthening partnerships with ASEAN countries, India seeks to foster a conducive environment for sustainable development and maritime security in the Indo-Pacific region.

During its port call at Ho Chi Minh, the PCV Samudra Paheredar will engage in a range of activities aimed at promoting awareness and capacity-building in marine pollution response and prevention.
