Armed Forces Medical College DG Explores Enhanced Medical Support Collaboration with Indian Coast Guard

In a significant step towards bolstering medical support for active-duty personnel and their families, Lieutenant General Daljit Singh, AVSM, VSM, PHS, Director General of Armed Forces Medical College (DGAFMS), embarked on a visit to the Indian Coast Guard Headquarters in New Delhi. During his visit, Lt Gen Daljit Singh engaged in fruitful discussions with Director General Rakesh Pal, AVSM, PTM, TM, DGICG (@IndiaCoastGuard), focusing on avenues to enhance medical care accessibility and quality for Coast Guard personnel.

Additionally, the Director General of Armed Forces Medical College inaugurated ASHA version 2.0, an internet-based platform designed to streamline Annual Medical Examinations for Indian Coast Guard personnel.

The interaction between Lt Gen Daljit Singh and DG Rakesh Pal underscored the shared commitment of the Armed Forces Medical College and the Indian Coast Guard towards ensuring the health and well-being of personnel serving on the front lines of national security.

Recognizing the unique operational challenges faced by the Indian Coast Guard, both leaders explored innovative solutions to optimize medical support infrastructure and resources, ensuring that personnel receive the highest standards of healthcare irrespective of their deployment locations.
