Chief of Defence Staff (CDS) General Anil Chauhan addressed the senior leadership of the Tri-Services on the first day of the Joint Commanders Conference (JCC) 2024 held in Lucknow. General Chauhan’s keynote speech elaborated on the critical imperatives of advancing military integration and operational readiness under the framework of “Jointness 2.0.”
During his address, General Chauhan emphasized the importance of fostering a joint culture among the Indian Armed Forces to ensure seamless integration across multiple domains. He outlined strategic plans aimed at enhancing collaboration and efficiency among the army, navy, and air force, which are crucial for maintaining a unified defense posture.

General Chauhan also underscored the urgency for modernization within the armed forces to stay “Ready & Relevant” during the ongoing third Revolution in Military Affairs (RMA). This revolution encompasses significant changes in the ways wars are conducted, driven by unprecedented technological advancements and information warfare.
