In a tragic incident off the coast of Goa on Thursday night, a fishing boat was involved in a collision with an Indian Navy submarine, leading to the sinking of the vessel and leaving two fishermen missing. The accident, which occurred under unclear circumstances, resulted in substantial damage to the fishing boat. Authorities have since commenced a search operation to locate the two fishermen who have not yet been found.

Initial reports indicate that the collision was sudden and unexpected, and while the Indian Navy has confirmed its involvement in the incident, they have not disclosed specific details regarding how the accident transpired. In response to the emergency, a rescue operation was swiftly activated, with teams from both the Coast Guard and the Navy diligently scouring the surrounding waters for the missing fishermen.

Families of the fishermen are experiencing intense anxiety as they await updates on their loved ones’ fate. Meanwhile, local authorities have launched an investigation to ascertain the precise cause of the collision, with the hopes of preventing similar incidents in the future. The Indian Navy has expressed its regret over the tragic event and has committed to fully cooperating with authorities as the investigation unfolds.
